Ellen Ruth Soap Co. offers a  line of 100% natural soap bars, using only natural colorants like clays and herbs, and scented with pure essential oils. I also have a line of limited edition “fun” soaps that I color with mica’s and use some fragrant oils for scenting. We will be phasing over to all natural only eventually, but for now I do love to get creative sometime. I personally use both, and love them equally.

My soap bars are cured for a full 6 weeks to produce a good, hard, long lasting bar of soap. To make them last even longer, please use a draining soap dish, so the bar can dry out between uses, it really does make a difference.

Hand crafted, homemade soaps, made the old fashioned way of cold process, time tested and true. This means my bars retain all of the natural glycerin and original moisturizers, where commercial bars have all the natural elements taken out, reducing them to basically detergent bars, then add a small portion back in and call it “moisturizing”. Try reading the ingredient label on a “name brand” soap, then come check out the ingredients in my soap. It’s pretty easy to choose which one is healthier to lather your entire body up with. Why spread chemicals you can’t even pronounce over your skin – the largest organ in the body. Be kind to your skin and treat it well, because the skin absorbs and takes in what we put on it, so be careful. *choose homemade soaps*
